Join local artist and instructor Tracy Loring in this playful mixed media workshop where we explore composition in varying scales. Youth will use tape to block out a mix of big and little shapes on paper creating bold spaces for one large image, tiny mini-artworks, or a fun combination of both. Participants will experiment with paint, markers, collage papers, and other materials to fill each shape with color, patterns, and texture. Then comes the magic! We’ll peel off our tape to reveal crisp lines and surprising compositions that bring the whole piece together.
This workshop will spark imagination, teach composition through scale, and give participants a satisfying reveal that feels like a creative surprise every time!
