About

Come discuss this year’s Salisbury READS selection, REVOLUTION SONG by Russell Shorto. This acclaimed nonfiction historical narrative tells the story of the American Revolution through the eyes of six diverse historical individuals.

Author and educator Peter Vermilyea will lead three discussions, responding to your questions and connecting Shorto's themes and characters with our own local Revolutionary War history. We’ll explore how our area and communities played a role in the broader struggle for independence while reflecting on the principles, causes, and events that united and divided people during the struggle to found a new nation.
