Yiddish: A Global Culture: Bold Stories, Boundless Creativity (White Goat Press) is the newly released catalog for the Yiddish Book Center’s permanent exhibition. Drawing from the exhibition large format 350-page full-color catalog offers a vivid exploration of two centuries of modern Yiddish culture. Covering literature, theater, music, journalism, and politics, this visual treat of a book includes hundreds of images, a comprehensive timeline, and a gatefold of the exhibition’s “Yiddishland” mural. In conversation with Lisa Newman, author David Mazower will introduce the catalog—the lavishly illustrated new 350-page catalog of the Center’s permanent exhibition and the first art book about modern Yiddish culture for a general audience.
