Quill Nook Farm of Halifax presents a special one-night-only showing of “Nickel Boys” at the Latchis Theatre on Wednesday, April 16. Doors at 6 p.m., film at 6:30 p.m. The film’s co-star, Brandon Wilson, will offer a Q&A after the showing, facilitated by Tristan Roberts.
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead, “Nickel Boys” chronicles the powerful friendship between two young African-American men navigating the harrowing trials of reform school together in Florida.
Nominated for two Oscars including Best Picture and Best Screenplay, the film’s co-star Brandon Wilson was the 2024 Winner of the Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Performer. Wilson is currently on his first visit to Vermont.
