Join us to celebrate the opening reception of Working the Waters: Black Mariners on the Hudson Rivers 1800s. As the first installation in our Black Experience Exhibit Series, this exhibit explores the lives and labor of Black mariners, sailors, and ship captains.

The reception will take place on Thursday, May 21 at the Alice Moore Black Arts and Cultural Center from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The evening will include light refreshments and remarks, with ample time to view the exhibit and connect with others interested in this history.
